Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, Southside
Ballsbridge is one of the city's finest suburbs, a pleasant contrast to the grey and noisy city centre. The houses date largely from the Victorian era, however a few streets still have Georgian mansions. There is private off-street parking and several parks. The leafy suburb, which is inhabited mainly by middle and upper income professionals, has matured well, and many of the houses have since become ambassadors residences and consulates. It is near the Lansdowne rugby grounds, there is Dart commuter station and there is easy access to the International Financial Services Centre, the airport, the ferry terminal and championship golf courses and downtown Dublin. Housing consists of semi-detached and detached houses, terraces, apartments, bungalows.
