S. Michel
S. Michel is between the 5th and 6th arrondissement. It is the typical meeting place for young people before going out at night. Many streets are pedestrian precincts with Greek and Italian restaurants. The atmosphere is fun, a bit chaotic, and many Latin-style bars stay open late into the night. It is very easy to reach as many metro or RER lines pass through S. Michel station. The view is spectacular and with a brief stroll you are at the Seine and you can see Notre Dame. Buildings are tall and of a variety of architectural styles. Unfortunately there are very few grocery shops but plenty of take-away restaurants. Although there isnt much open at night, the view along the Seine from here is spectacular.
