Situated in the 17th arrondissement, the part which skirts the Charles de Gaulles Etoile is the most prosperous. With pleasant typically Parisian architecture, it is mainly the home of large companies and television stations. The north of the neighbourhood is less rich and is quieter. The cost of living is cheaper here and it is considered a safe the neighbourhood. There is plenty of parking but not many metro stations in the Batignoles area although they are more in Ternes. Night life gravitates towards the Champs des Elysees.
