BARCELONA TOP FOR MOBILE INTERNET SPEED

Smartphone users in Barcelona have the fastest mobile internet speeds in Spain and the best all round coverage, along with Madrid and the Basque country, according to research released by Adslzone and Movilzona. The fastest mobile download speeds in Barcelona are on Vodafone, with an average speed of 3.2 megabits per second (mbps), followed by mobile providers Movistar, Orange and Telstra, which is the slowest in the city at 1.38 mbps.

The study also highlighted the average download speeds for Apple iPhone users: Vodafone was again the fastest provider in Catalonia with an average of 3.7 mbps, followed by Movistar, Orange and Telstra with an average speed of 1.6 mgbps. Slowest access in Spain was the Canary Islands, Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha.
