Brussels Airlines is to start direct flights from Brussels airport to Washington DC’s Dulles International airport on 18 June. The five times a week service to the US capital comes a year after the Belgian airline started a direct daily service to New York.
The schedules are designed to connect with flights out of Washington to 44 other destinations serviced by its Star Alliance partner United Airlines. In Brussels the flights from Washington connect to both European cities and Brussels Airlines’ African network.
Brussels Airlines was formed out of SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express in 2006 and became a subsidiary of Lufthansa in 2008.
