Captain Tom Moore hospitalized due to a covid-19 infection
Captain Moore a British Army veteran, had celebrated his 100th birthday on 20 April 2020 with a 'walk in his garden”, 100 laps of 25 meters around his house, hoping to raise £1,000 for the NHS.
In the end, he raised over £30 million in donations, was promoted to the rank of Colonel and awarded the title of Baronet by Queen Elizabeth.
“I want to update you on the fact that today, 31 January, my father has been admitted to hospital” stated Hannah Ingram-Moore, the Captain’s daughter. “For the past few weeks he had been treated at home for pneumonia, being positive tested for Covid-19. He stayed home with us until he needed help breathing. Now he’s been admitted to the hospital but he’s not in the ICU.”
