The De Gooyer windmill at the eastern end of Amsterdams city centre has been given the Christmas treatment with lights now adorning its sails. The idea is to attract visitors and tourists to this part of the city. The De Gooyer windmill, along with the De Otter windmill, are the only two windmills within walking distance of the city centre. The decorated De Gooyer windmill can be reached on bus 22 from the Central station.
