Copenhagen city council is to invest DKK 35 million into improving conditions for cyclists in the city. After consultation with cyclist groups, which produced 275 suggestions for cycle-friendly projects, the council is to build a network of new cycle paths and make traffic junctions safer for cyclists. Additional bike parking facilities are also to be built at Nrreport Station, Copenhagens busiest train station. The Danish Cycling Union has welcomed the project, although it has said it hopes to see further investment in the future.
