Denmarks national broadcaster DR has been awarded an environmental prize by Copenhagen and five other municipalities as part of the environmental protection project Dogme 2000. The broadcaster is building its new headquarters, which will be more environmentally sustainable than any other building in Denmark, in the new restad district of the capital. Solar panels on the roof will keep conventional energy consumption to a minimum, and collected rainwater will supply 90 per cent of the water in the washrooms. Energy from the solar panels will be used to pump the water.
