GAP closes all its stores in Europe

GAP leaves Europe. Forever.

The popular American clothing brand has decided to close all its European stores. The crisis is not new, the first closures had already begun in 2015, but the covid-19 pandemic has contributed to the final blow.

2,500 employees scattered around shops in Italy, Spain, France and the UK on the morning of 21 October received the bad news by email.

The first closures should begin in late spring 2021 and be completed the following December.
