A 47-storey apartment block is to be built next to the Amsterdam Arena Stadium at the end of the Arena Boulevard in south-east Amsterdam. The skyscraper, which has been given the go-ahead by the Amsterdam city council, will house around 400 apartments plus a gym, restaurants and shops. The new apartment block is one of several new development projects in the Arena Boulevard area, which will also see the building of a retail and leisure complex - the GETZ Entertainment Centre - and a Music Dome. It will be the tallest skyscraper in the Dutch capital.
