The Madrid municipal tourist board has increased the number of guided walking tours of city sights on offer, at the same time more than doubling the number of tours available in foreign languages. Eleven tours are now available in English, two in French, two in Italian and one each in German and Japanese. The English language tours include Churches & Convents, 20th Century Architecture, Great Painters of the Court, Historical Buildings in Madrid and a Cycling Tour of the City. There are now 17 tours for Spanish speakers and ten for the disabled, with specially adapted visits for the blind, the deaf and those with reduced mobility.
