The London Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) has invited Londoners to take part online in consultations to decide community policing priorities for 2007/8. Phase 1 of the online consultation process has already amassed a significant amount of citizens issues. Phase 2 begins on 12 June, when previously obtained results will be sorted and prioritised. The Met is now calling for participation in the second phase, where issues raised by others can be ranked in importance. 10 participants chosen at random will be invited to New Scotland Yard to give their views in person to the Metropolitan Police commissioner, Sir Ian Blair, and MPA chairman Len Duvall. See the Consulting London section of the Mets website.

This is the fourth year that the MPA has run this sort of grass roots consulting process.
