Londoners are feeling safer, more optimistic and more satisfied than at any time in the last decade, according to the Annual London Survey 2010.

Over 80 per cent of Londoners are happy with the city as a place to live, 85 per cent are happy with their neighbourhood, and 76 per cent feel safe when out alone in the evening.

Satisfaction with policing is at its highest level since 2004, with 63 per cent being very or fairly satisfied, while the proportion of people worried about crime has fallen from 59 per cent in 2006 to 43 per cent in 2010.

The proportion of Londoners who feel the Olympics will be good for the city has risen since 2009, up nine per cent to 66 per cent.
