Luxury stores reopen in Paris to huge losses

On the Champs Elysées Cartier, Dior and Louis Vuitton and Galeries Lafayette try to get off the ground.

The world-famous French luxury brands Cartier, Dior and Louis Vuitton have reopened their stores on the Champs Elysées in Paris after a relaxation of the anti- covid measures by the French government, but Christmas shopping is struggling to take off.

Few customers have been seen in the stores of the golden brands of jewelry, clothing and accessories, but also in department stores on the most important commercial artery of the capital.  The Champs Elysées consortium estimates a loss of two billion euros.
