Security cameras have been fitted on a dozen new Municipal Transport Company (EMT) buses now operating on routes 27, 59, 79, 85 and 130 in Madrid. The cameras capture an image every second which can be quality-enhanced by the driver should an incident occur, and which can also be relayed back to a control centre. If results prove satisfactory following the six-month trial period, the cameras will be installed on all 2,000 of the EMT buses in the Spanish capital.
