New dance institute for Brussels

A new dance and choreography institute, attached to the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts, opens in Brussels in September 2012.

Brussels is the only city to offer this discipline at the higher education level. The institute will provide a first degree after three years and a Masters after another two years. Courses, which are in French, cover choreography dance and the visual arts.

The Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts was founded in 1711 and is famous for its contribution to painting, sculpture and architecture. It is marking its tri-centenary with a series of exhibitions and conferences this year.
