A newly inaugurated art gallery in Iffley Road is appealing for up-and-coming local talent to take part in future exhibitions. East Oxford artist James Pudey and designer Ann Kathrin Zieger from Berlin hope that their new Puder gallery will operate as a showcase for Oxford’s contemporary arts scene, and are inviting submissions from artists working in a wide range of media, from fine art techniques such as painting and sculpture, to sound installations, video art animation and digital graphics. Currently the gallery is displaying quirky exhibits by the Pudey/Zeiger team, including Pakistani truck art and a ‘disco toilet’ painted entirely in silver. Interested artists can apply directly to the gallery (Fri 17.00-22.00 & Sat 11.00-20.00) or by email to buro@puder.co.uk
