The Oxford Naturist Club (Oxnat), located just outside the city centre, is thriving, with an increase in activities and in the association itself. There are now a total of 200 members. According to British Naturism this is just part of a wider national trend, with more than half a million of the British populace regularly stripping off to enjoy nude sport and sunbathing.

The Oxnat club was created in 1979 with members paying for their 11-acre woodland site and its clubhouse near Oxford entirely by fundraising. Now, activities include table tennis, yoga, art classes and amateur dramatics. The club is currently raising money for Cancer Research UK with a total of 1,600 raised so far.
