People flee Paris after Macron announces lockdown
"We are at war." Emmanuel Macron repeats these words several times while announcing the new restrictive measures to contain the coronavirus in France, following the Italian model of total closure. The partial lookdown will starts at noon today. As a reaction many French citizens crowded the train stations to escape Paris.
Images on social media recall scenes seen in Italy when people were trying to flee Milan and trains were taken by storm after the announcement of similar measures by Giuseppe Conte.
The problem is always the same: in this way gatherings are created with the consequent possibility of increasing the infections and exporting the virus to other regions of the country.
Car traffic, on the other hand, appears to be lower than on a normal Tuesday morning.
