The Amsterdam government has announced plans to turn the 42-hectare site of the disused ADM shipyard at the Hornweg in Amsterdam West into an inland port. Occupied by a group of artists since 1997, the ADM site has become home to a number of cultural events including the successful Robodock festival of new performance, dance and music. Under the Amsterdam governments project, which would cost the taxpayer around 80 million, the sqatters would be moved out to make way for 40 inland moorings.
