Low cost airline Ryanair has applied for permission for 23 new routes from Copenhagen airport. Copenhagen airport is to open a new terminal, CPH Swift, specifically designed for low-cost carriers later this year.

The Swift terminal will have six new gates and a capacity for six million passengers. Copenhagen airport said in a statement that it was in talks with a number of low-cost airlines. The new routes will be confirmed by mid-August.
