Starbucks opens in Dublin.

Dame Street, Dublin, is the place for the first major Starbucks coffee shop in Irleand. Until now there has only been a small store in Dundrum town centre. The coffee house in Dame Street attracted a good crowd on opening day in mid-November and is set to encourage initiatives with local schools and artists. The shop is furnished with pieces specially commission from a Dublin company and the walls are hung with works by Irish artists. The global coffee house giant plans to consolidate its position in Dublin before opening up in other locations across the country.
