Turkish students studying in Viennas universities are to open a public library of Turkish texts and literature. First set up in 2002 as a book lending centre for the use of Turkish students only, there are currently 3,000 titles and a campaign for book donations is underway. Four students, Ali Cicek, Seyma Konak, Yasemin Bozkurt and Elif Biyikli, are using their university summer break in Istanbul to encourage book donations through the Turkish press. The expanded library should be ready for public use by the beginning of the university year.
