1,000 m2 of desire: Architecture and sexuality
25 Oct-19 March. Exhibition examining the way western society has planned, built and imagined spaces for sex over the last 200 years. The show focuses in particular on how the design of "spaces of desire" has, until recently, been dominated by men.
Divided into three sections: Sexual utopias, Libertine refuges and Sexographs, the exhibition highlights Playboy mansions, porn cinemas and libraries housing libertine novels.
The 250 exhibits on display include architectural models and drawings, art installations, audiovisuals and books, as well as William Kentridge's new installation Right Into Her Arms, an edgy mix of puppet-theatre and cinema.
Tues-Sun 11.00-20.00 Thur 11.00-22.00.
