3 Oct 2008-18 Jan 2009. On the 125th anniversary of the Rembrandt Association, the Van Gogh Museum, in collaboration with more than 30 Dutch museums, brings together a selection of 125 of the most important and striking works acquired by the Rembrandt Society. The exhibition is divided into five sections: the key purchases of the last 125 years; works; by Dutch artists; Old Masters by non-Dutch artists; modern and contemporary art by Chagall and Matisse among others; and some of the acquisitions of the past ten years.
