One of the capitals traditional summer events, the annual Berlin Gauklerfest brings Berliners face to face with people from all over the world to enjoy this open-air festival. The artistic festival features concerts, variety shows, countless street performers, storytelling, fireworks and a kids program all in the citys historic centre between the Linden Opera and the Crown Princes Palace. Another highlight is the market for arts and handicrafts, one of the finest in Germany, and a variety of food served in Gourmet Street provided by Berlins cooking avant-garde.
