18 August-17 December 2005. One time 80s Brat Pack star Rob Lowe will be generating a bit of Hollywood style interest in Aaron Sorkin's contemporary American classic A Few Good Men showing over the summer and autumn at London's Theatre Royal at Haymarket. Best known as a movie actor in films like The Outsiders and St. Elmo's Fire, Lowes stage career has been more low key to the likes of the 1992 Broadway production of A Little Hotel On the Side. The play, itself the basis for a 1992 Hollywood blockbuster starring Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson, follows the story of a soldier lawyer called to defend two soldiers accused of killing a colleague in a military trial. Previews of A Few Good Men, which is directed by David Esbjornson, begin on 18 August and the season proper starts on 6 September. Tickets cost 45.00 to 13.00. Mon-Sat at 19.45 (Sat matinee at 15.00)
