This unusual exhibition at the British Museum centres around the macabre world of mummification and the human stories behind the preserved corpses on show.
The eight mummies come from ancient Egypt and Sudan and include a priest's daughter, a middle-aged man, a woman with a Christian tattoo, and a young child.
The museum uses interactive technology to find out about their lives and what happened to them after they died, building up an insight into life in the Nile Valley over 4,000 year ago.
