ArtZuid 2013

The third edition of the open-air international sculpture exhibition takes place in the picturesque Berlage quarter of Amsterdam.

The theme of this year's event is "engagement" and the exhibition is curated by art expert and former Rijksmuseum director Henk van Os, who selected 70 sculptures by 58 international artists from 26 countries.

Some of the best known artists whose work is exhibited include China's Ai Weiwei, Eduardo Chillida from Spain, America's John Chamberlain, British sculptor Richard Long, and Dinh Q. Lê from Vietnam.

The 2.4-km route is set out along Apollolaan, Minervalaan and the Zuidas streets, as well as in the Vondelpark, and the free walk takes about 2.5 hours. There are also guided art history tours available.
