Atmospheres: Investigating the Weather from Aristotle to Ozone

20 Nov-7 April. The Museum of the History of Science presents an exhibition that charts the history of meteorology and man's quest to predict the weather accurately.

On show are archival documents chronicling meteorologists' techniques, from mediaeval Oxford philosophers to balloonists to modern experts using satellites and space probes.

This complex and surprising perspective on the weather is a collaborative exhibition organised by the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford and the university's Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics research group.

Tue-Fri 12.00-17.00 Sat 10.00-17.00 Sun 14.00-17.00
