15 June-18 Sept. Although born in England (in 1931), since moving to Ireland in 1954 abstract expressionist painter Barrie Cooke has been regarded as an Irish artist; not only that, he is thought of as one of the country's greatest living painters.
To celebrate his contribution to Irish art, the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) is staging an exhibition in honour of his 80th birthday. The show includes some 70 paintings and sculptural works from the1960s to the present day, drawn predominantly from IMMA
