17-19 Feb 2006. As part of the Music and Myth series, the Orquesta Nacional de Espaa and the National Czech Choir perform Beethovens triple concerto for violin, violoncello, piano and orchestra in D major, opus 56, followed by Czech composer Bohuslav Martinus rarely performed work inspired by the Babilonian epic of Gilgamesh, for soloists, choir and orchestra in the Sala Sinfnica of the Auditorio Nacional de Msica. Concerts feature the internationally acclaimed chamber music ensemble the Beaux Arts Trio, with Daniel Hope on violin, Antonio Meneses on violoncello and Menahen Pressler on piano, conducted by Maximiano Valds. Admission 29-9 17 and 18 Feb (19.30), 15-9 19 Feb (11.30).
