11 September 2005 . This curry and culture festival in Londons East End hosts a melting pot of market stalls, rickshaw rides and Bollywood bands. Over 40,000 people now flock to Brick Lane (also known as Bangla Town) every year to celebrate the ethnic diversity of London's East End communities. This years event coincides with the first two-week Banglatown International Curry Festival. Top chefs are set to fly in from the subcontinent as almost 50 curry houses open on to the pavement with a host of gastronomic delights.
