14 Nov 2008-31 March 2009. Ricordi & Co present this exhibition of 200 years of opera in Italy to celebrate the bicentenary of Casa Ricordi, the Milanese music publishing house set up in 1808. Using historic artefacts from the Ricordi archives alongside state-of-the-art technology, the exhibition explores the stages involved in producing an opera: the libretto, the music score, the set and costume design, the singers and the final opera experience.
