18-20 Nov 2005. This years edition of the Eric Bompard Ice-Skating Trophy at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy promises to be nothing short of a run-up to the Winter Olympics 2006 in Turin, with some world-class skaters competing for the trophy. In the mens events Jeffrey Buttle, Canadian silver medallist at the last World Championships in Moscow, will encounter the cream of European skaters, including Brian Joubert and Frdric Dambier from France. The womens events boast the presence of silver medallist at Moscow, American Sasha Cohen, the Japanese World Champion 2004, Shizuka Arakawa, and the Junior World Champion 2005, Mao Asada, among others. The skating pairs also have an outstanding line-up including Russian World Champions and Champions of Europe, Totmianina and Marinin, and the Chinese duo, Pang and Tong, who came fourth at Moscow. The dance on ice events should be a real spectacle, with a duel for the trophy between the Ukrainian couple Grushina and Goncharov and last seasons revelation, the French couple Isabelle Delobel and Olivier Schoenfelder both medal winners in the 2005 European figure skating championships in Turin and in Moscow. Admission 11(Fri)-79(Sun). Fri 18 14.00, Sat 19 13.45 & 20.00,
