15 November - 1 April. The Victoria and Albert Museum celebrates the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens by focusing on his 1850 novel David Copperfield.

Displaying the original manuscript, the exhibition examines the development of the book from the hand-written notes through to its publication, and highlights the wealth of children's books and theatrical productions which have since been inspired by Dickens
