15 Dec 2005-15 Jan 2006. The well-known tale of Cinderellas metamorphosis from drudge to fairy princess is given a modern spin in this new version produced by the Oxford Playhouse. Tony Bicat has written the script and his brother Nick has supplied the music for this Cinderella directed by Ian Talbot. The new script offers humour at many levels, romance, topical quips, original songs and audience participation in true panto style. The Ugly Sisters, played by Gerard Carey and Harry Peacock, enjoy catalogue shopping using their step-fathers credit parchment, and the Queen, played by Leslie Nicol who also doubles as the Fairy Godmother, has a lot in common with the current resident of Buckingham Palace. Cinderella is played by Karen Paullada and her Prince Charming by Dominic Marsh. The show is suitable for anyone over four years of age. Admission 19.50-9.50 Performances twice daily at varying times from 10.00-19.00 No Performance 19 & 25 Dec, 1, 6 & 9 Jan.
