15 Dec 2005-3 Jan 2006. Bernhard Pauls Circus Roncalli returns to Berlin this Christmas with a completely new show, Weihnachstzirkus, involving 50 artistes from 15 countries. Hosted by the Tempodrom, the enormous arena-cum-Big Top in Potsdamer Platz, the Circus promises laughter, poetry and fantasy as well as the usual acrobatic thrills, stuntmen and clowning. The Roncalli Circus has become something of an institution over the years. Founded by Paul in 1975, success didnt come until 1984 when the Circus settled into its permanent headquarters in Cologne. Now it tours Germany regularly and has also performed in Moscow and Copenhagen. Admission Mon-Thurs 44.60-13.90, Fri-Sun 47.60-15.10, under 3s free. Mon-Sat 20.00, Sun 19.00, matinees Weds, Sat & Sun 15.00.
