2 June - 7 October. Drawing from its permanent collection, Amsterdam's CoBrA Museum of Modern Art examines the crucial role played by the cities of Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and New York in the CoBrA art movement.
The cafés and avant-garde circles in these major urban centres were where CoBrA's main exponents mingled and gained inspiration for their colourful, lively work.
The name of the CoBrA artistic movement (1948-1951) is derived from the names of Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam.
