The Cobra Museum of Modern Art dedicates an exhibition to the colourful history of the Collection d’Art gallery which operated in Amsterdam from 1969 until its closure in 2004.
Founded by Cora de Vries, the influential art gallery witnessed numerous developments in contemporary art including realism, inspired geometry and post-war expressionism.
The gallery soon built itself a cutting-edge reputation and attracted a regular flow of buyers including several museum directors.
The Cobra exhibition features a selection of works from the private collection of Cora and Hans de Vries, with works by artists such as Constant, de Kooning, Baselitz, Armando, Appel, Bogart and Schoonhoven.
Tues-Fri 10.00-17.00. Sat-Sun 10.00-17.00.
