13-23 Dec 2005. The Royal Festival Hall presents a mixed bag of Christmas goodies with its annual Cool Yule series. Combining music of every genre with comedy and storytelling, this line-up of one-off events has something for everyone. First up are Kiki & Herb with their award-winning cabaret Jesus Wept, A Christmas Concert in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at 20.00. Musical comedy trio Pluck in The Specialists, the Nigerian singer-rapper Shola Idowu making her London debut and Tango Volcano playing traditional dance tangos and Piazzolla hits follow in the Purcell Room. On 18 Dec storyteller Frances Lynch, accompanied by pianist Mark Troop, gives two matinee performances of The White Reindeer based on an original folk tale from Hereford.
