17 Nov 2006-6 Jan 2007. Netherlands Opera present Mozarts opera buffa Cos fan tutte, the first in a cycle by the great composer written in collaboration with Lorenzo da Ponte. The plot revolves around two officers, Ferrando and Gugliemo, who decide to put the faithfulness of their fiances Dorabella, and Fiordiligi to the test. This production, directed by Jossi Wieler and Sergio Morabito, is set in modern times, with an international cast including Sally Matthews, Luca Pisaroni, Maite Beaumonte, Danielle de Niese and Norman Shankle. The Nederlands Kamerorkest is directed by Ingo Metzmacher. Mozarts operas Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro are playing in rep with Cos fan tutte at Amsterdams Het Muziektheater. Admission 100-20, concessions 80-17.50. Opening night sold out. Performances at 19.00 on 17, 21, 25, 30 Nov, 15, 21 Dec & 2, 6 Jan. Matinees at 13.30 on 10 & 26 Dec.
