9 Nov 2006-6 Jan 2007. London Toast, Copenhagens English theatre company, comes to Tivoli Gardens Glassalen Theatre with a Tolkien send-up entitled Bored of the Rings. Written and directed by Vivienne McKee, the story is set in Below-the-Belt in Lower Earth, with a cast of oddball characters including the handsome Dane, Arrogant Mortensen, hairy hobbit Dildo Baggins, his nephew Freako and the Wizard Gondaft. Described as the only show in the world which gets its inspiration from Monty Python, Shakespeare, the Marx Brothers, and Jerry Lee Lewis (Berlingske Tidende), the annual Crazy Christmas Cabaret is now an established Copenhagen tradition. Starring David Bateson, Andrew Jeffers, Vivienne McKee, Matty Berggren and Kattherine Falkenberg, Bored of the Rings is designed by Kirsten Brink. Admission opening night Dkk300-Dkk65, other performances Dkk520-Dkk65. Mon-Sat at 19.30. Matinees Sat at 15.00.
