19 June-14 Sept 2008. The Tate Modern dedicates a solo retrospective to Cy Twombly, providing an overview of his work from the 1950s to the present. Twombly emerged at the height of Abstract Expressionism and moved from the States to Italy in 1957, where he was inspired by the European literature and classical culture.
