David Ostrowski: The F Word: Exploring the potential of errors

The young German artist David Ostrowski explores the boundaries of painting, finding beauty and potential in mistakes that arise during the painting process.

Based in Cologne, Ostrowski uses a variety of materials in his abstract work, applying fragments of canvas, newsprint, paper or spraypaint onto untreated blank canvases.

The 12 works in this exhibition come from Ostrowski’s recent series of F paintings in which all titles begin with F, a letter that alludes to fehler, German for "error".

The show includes five large paintings which function as architectural forms, forcing visitors to choose their own path through the space.

Tues-Sun 10.00-17.00. Wed 10.00-21.00.
