Documents of Action. Works from the Denney and Cordier Collections (1947-1965)

28 Jan-22 May. Exhibition of some 60 European and Japanese postwar works from two separate collections: the Antony Denney Collection and the Daniel Cordier Collection.

The exhibition unites the American and French collections and includes paintings by Karel Appel, Alberto Burri, Jean Dubuffet, Lucio Fontana, Sam Francis, Georges Mathieu, Antoni Tàpies, and Japanese artists from the Gutai group.

The works are on display at the Fundació Tàpies, a foundation dedicated to the study of modern art which was established in 1984 by Antoni Tàpies (1923-2012), the painter, sculptor and art theorist who was the best known post-war Catalan artist.
