16 March - 5 September 2010. Don Lawrence was a renowned British cartoonist and science fiction illustrator (1928 - 2003). Known as something of a hellraiser in his youth, he failed to achieve the recognition he deserved in his home country, and after a disagreement over royalties he moved his business to Holland in 1997. 'Storm', created by Lawrence and a writer colleague for the Dutch weekly Eppo in 1997, soon attracted critical acclaim throughout Europe. The Dutch Comic Museum is currently honouring the work of Lawrence with an exhibition of his trademark highly-detailed creations.
