12 Sept-2 Oct 2005. Dublin Fringe Festival started in 1995 as a platform for established and emerging artists committed to innovative approaches to the performing arts. Eleven years down the road, the Fringe has achieved national and international recognition attracting audiences of over 50,000 for the duration of the festival. Both the fastest growing cultural event in Ireland and one of Europe's leading independent arts festivals for experimentation, innovation and inspiration. This years calendar of events includes: Ealain ar Oilean 2005, A Cry From Heaven at the Abbey, The Realist by Pale Blue Productions and Framemakers at Daghdha, showing at 30 venues throughout the city.
