Using an infra-red technique originally developed by the University of Milan, this unique exhibition reveals the drawings and sketches that lie beneath the painted surface of some of the masterpieces in the Prados collection. Raphaels La Perla, El Boscos La mesa de los Pecados Mortales and Pedro Berruguetes La muerte de San Pedro Mrtir are among the paintings uncovered by the exhibition. The images produced by this innovative technique are displayed in the form of backlit outlines alongside the original paintings, revealing the beauty and subtlety of the underlying drawings, while information cards explain the artists technique and medium, be it charcoal, brush, black stone or crayon. Admission 6, concessions 3 Sundays free. Mon-Sun 9.00-20.00.
